1. How can I learn more about what Camp America offers?
Located on 42 scenic acres in Bucks County, PA, Camp America has provided the ideal combination of people, programs, facilities and activities to meet children's unique needs since 1967. We are committed to serving each camper and continually strive to improve our services, training and programs while maximizing your child's enjoyment.

2. What types of meals and snacks are available at camp?
All our meals are wholesome and nutritious; prepared by an experienced dietician and food manager. The menu is appealing to children and extras are available to those with hearty appetites. Afternoon snacks are served to all campers. At Camp America, we work with our families to meet all dietary limitations and concerns.

 

3. Is transportation to and from camp provided?
Door-to-Door transportation in vans and cars is provided for all campers unless you choose to use the extended day program. All aspects of our summer transportation services are under the direct supervision of June Mitchell. Routing, schedules, safety and driver training receive priority attention at all times. Rest assured, safety comes first for our precious cargo!

 

4. What are the hours of the camp day?
Monday through Friday, 9:30am to 4:00pm.

 

5. How are staff members and counselors chosen?
Camp America enjoys an excellent reputation because we hand pick the best people to serve you and your family. Many of our counselors are state certified teachers. Our food managers are certified by the Bucks County Board of Health. All of our instructors have specialized training in their areas of expertise. A full-time registered nurse and well-stocked infirmary are available during regular camp hours.

Our staff members are experienced, highly qualified leaders - who model friendship and consideration of others to all children. As positive and caring leaders, our counselors and supervisors display sensitivity required to work well with children meeting their social, emotional and physical needs.

 

6. Is Camp America ACA accredited?
Camp America is accredited by the American Camping Association (ACA), an award held by only 25% of camps nationwide. Accreditation requires compliance with the highest quality program, health and safety standards. We have a superior safety record - a record you can trust.

 

7. What is Camp America’s philosophy?
Camp America provides comprehensive day camp programs that promote the social, cultural, physical and emotional development of children, ages 2 1/2 to 14. We recruit the best counselors and supervisors to help campers learn, laugh, play, and offer activities in the best environments possible. Each day, we strive to give campers a fun experience, enhanced self-esteem, friendship skills, greater independence and a sense of their creative potential.

 

8. Are extended care hours available?
Extended care service is available from 7:30am to 6:00pm. While there is no charge for this service, camp provided transportation IS NOT included. Parent transportation is required BOTH ways. Pre-arrangement with the camp administrators is required.
